The Anointing as stated, “All things work together for those who love God” - Rm. 8:28. Does this mean God abused His integrity? Absolutely not! God knows how most of us operate, especially those who are worldly. By feelings! God says, “We are wonderfully made” - Ps. 139:14. and “chose life or death” - Deut. 30:19. The choice we make does not automatically exclude us from God’s Anointing otherwise His Spiritual influence. Why? Because the Anointing is for God and not us. The Anointing only does God's Righteousness. This is why when the man seeks their own cross to be recognized as sacrificed by all to receive empathy because their feelings are offended it is not of God. Now, to be clear, this is not the same as showing empathy to those who have suffered emotional pain due to uncontrolled (satanic) circumstances. We are really talking about abusing the design God gave us to be triumphant in this world.

God has always wanted the man to operate at His level. To Righteously dominate. We can only do that when we first place the lower design aspects under the higher designs of the body, mind, and spirit. God does not do anything without expecting His purpose to be fulfilled and it should not surprise us that Adam had to prove his alignment of his body, mind, and spirit before God released him to dominate. Many after Adam proved God's preferred higher thinking of design was justified which Jesus confirmed and Paul journeyed into. Think of it! Adam had two trees but did not consult the Tree of Truth; a foreshadow of Jesus, before taking the carnal action resulting in disobedience to God with the feeling of pride. As then, the Body often does not consult this Truth in Jesus, but rather make life decisions with their feelings. These decisions based on feelings tend to lead to more feelings that lead us away from God. We should never make decisions based on feelings but as stated, “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow Righteousness, Faith, Charity, Peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart” - 2 Tim. 2:22.

We cannot deny that several men and women operated under God’s Anointing and favor before Jesus was even born and a few were taken up not feeling the pain of death but with the Anointing was received into God’s Heavenly places as stated, “Elijah went up by a whirlwind into Heaven” - 2 Kgs. 2:11. This is the difference between operating by the Anointing as by the flesh. Once the mind is made up to stick to its decision for Righteousness; then corresponding actions ought to follow. If quality decisions do not follow, then our minds are still unstable and we ride the roller coaster of life with eyes closed in fear rather than open with Faith. It is the Anointing that made Jesus’ life worth His Blood and is valuable to follow for the same results and benefits. As the Body; we cannot do without it, if we hope to finish the race as Paul states, “Run in such a way as to take the prize” - 1 Cor. 9:24. To run is by the mind and in such a way is by the Anointing. Now, some may be offended by this but that’s okay. My God does not make junk and if I am essentially body, mind, and spirit; then I am perfectly created just as Adam was and Jesus is. Our challenge is not God’s creation but Spiritual empowerment.

God stated. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways” - Is. 55:8. We are three in one as God is with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The man was given flesh to experience and demonstrate to one another and other creatures the Spirit of God as another dimension of God’s Kingdom not before seen. It is the prologue for what Paul refers to saying, “the Fruit of the Spirit” - Gal. 5:22. This is not our inner spirit but the manifestation of God’s Spirit in man. Now, I am not talking about good manners or social graces. The Fruit of the Spirit as in the Anointing is the Revelation of God through man and as with love there is a difference from man’s version as Jesus states, "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return.” - Lk. 6:32 - 35. This is the linchpin to our feelings. For as some in the Body has experienced; how do you walk as Jesus would, knowing some are acting as satan’s agents of killing, stealing and destroying. The answer is in you and Jesus showed it and Paul states it, saying, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me” - Gal. 2:20. You cannot have agape love without the Anointing. The Anointing is the Christ. When Jesus entered His ministry, those who accepted and believed in Him walked with the Anointing. This Anointing continued after Jesus was resurrected. The Anointing has different roles and is inseparable from God as is the Holy Trinity.

Spiritual Awakening

With the Anointing comes the promises of God. Foremost of these promises is Grace. When combined the Anointing and Grace raise us above every carnality and even puts us into a Spiritual bliss where nothing done to us bodily, mentally and spiritually affects us. This was the state that Stephen was in for only by the Anointing was he able to bridge the gap between the physical to the Spiritually, even as he was stoned, stating, “calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit” - Acts 7:59. With feelings comes curses, diseases and all manner of mental as well as spiritual disorder. It can also lead to separation from the Holy Spirit and allow demonic influence to take a foothold or worst result in evil possessions. The Anointing cannot influence our minds and spirits when we are in a state of prideful hurt because this is placing our ego above the will of God which includes peace for the body, mind, and spirit. Pride is satan’s sin but also it is the seedbed for fear which is masked in distrust, envy, and arrogance. All these are really the spirit of disobedience and as Paul states, “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit” - Rm. 8:5.

Many, even in churches display a facade that really hides the inner darkness that has accumulated due to the feelings of things and issues, but when confronted with Righteousness become exposed in our words and actions. For us, in the Body of Christ, we should learn to discern this deceptive spirit and take the appropriate Righteous action and not indulge it. We do this either by Spiritual confrontation or by intercession prayers. For we cannot allow feelings to dictate our Christ walk much less pander to it which then can lead to dissension and the corruption of the Body. This is why many previous Righteous churches eventually succumbed to the spirit of the flesh because not only those in authority but also the Body chose to ignore what they were seeing and hearing, deciding to love at the carnal and not the Godly level. They refused to heed the Anointing to confront these sins. The result is years of setback not only for the church but many turning from the Faith and Christ. It is the responsibility of all who have taken Christ to always lead and walk by the Anointing and not allow feelings to determine decisions that will produce death and not life for generations to come.

Flush it Out! - Christ my Anointing.

God is omnipotent; is He not? Then all Genesis creation is for His Glory! Period! God cannot compromise His principles but He certainly can justify His actions. As stated, “Even the evil is for Him - Prob. 16:4. We see this with king Ahasuerus and others like king Darius; is used for God’s purpose. The Anointing regardless of king Ahasuerus’s carnal mind influenced and compelled him to do God’s will. In this case, Esther is placed in a position to save the Jews. The Anointing gave her insights to Haman’s scheme and favor from her king, to the point he allowed her and Mordecai set their own terms regarding the Jews as stated, “But you may write as you please with regard to the Jews, in the name of the king, and seal it with the king's ring, for an edict written in the name of the king and sealed with the king's ring cannot be revoked.” - Es. 8:8. On a side note; is it coincidental that this “salvation” is written in the eighth chapter in the eighth verse; which the number eight represents new beginnings or resurrection.

Does it hurt when the world accuses you? It should not! For reactive feelings have nothing to do with the proactive Spirit of Christ; the Anointing. Christ’s journey to the Cross was not only filled with His followers but also His haters. He had to make clear what was Righteous and unrighteous before God. This painted Him automatically as a rebel and disrupter to the status quo and those blinded by their lust. He was confronted and He also confronted. He did not go looking for a fight but it came to Him. Jesus made enemies and so will the individuals of the Body of Christ. If you do not have the occasional challenge then it's prudent to check from the core up. He, satan hates those seeking Righteousness and the Kingdom of God. It can be a daunting task to contain one’s feelings, especially in an offensive and confrontational scenario. But it’s a command as stated, “Do not be offended” - Prob. 12:16. This is because, offense; an indicator of unforgiveness, opens up confusion and strife which is the seed bed for satan, as stated, “Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” - 2 Cor. 2:11. We become exposed to satan because of our unrighteous feelings.

In recent days I have experienced the carnal christian; an oxymoron, if any, and it shocked me to a point that I had to check my motives; that is the Armor of God, in all that I am doing to perfect the Christian walk. Now, I shouldn’t be surprised at these attacks from satan for he comes to steal, kill and lastly to destroy. The challenge is it came from someone who proclaims Salvation and it happened on what should be ‘Holy” ground. I knew this individual was not walking in Christ simply by what came out of their mouth and yet when the attack came; I was somewhat blown away at their accusations and vile description of my person. Their wrongful feelings of hate, anger and resentment demonstrated their carnality and there was definitely a lack or rather the absence of the Anointing.

Anointing vs. feelings.

The Spirit of God; the Anointing has always been active on the Earth in those who make a quality decision by free will to not only be in but stay in obedience to God. Just like a roller-coaster; once in you are secure with the ups and downs of this world, but when you are out; all manner of the world surrounds you. The Christian can literally cut off any influence or effects of sin today as when Enoch did as stated, “By Faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death. God had taken him away and was (Enoch) commended as one who pleased God” - Heb. 11:5. Enoch made a Righteous decision by his mind which allowed him to receive Spiritual benefits for the body but especially for his spirit. Enoch did what pleases God as stated, “And without faith, it is impossible to please God” - Heb. 11:6.

The story of Job expresses the Anointing versus feelings as accusers based on feelings came to him from near and far and eventually the Anointing made him Righteous again restoring and multiplying all that was taken away from him because he used his feelings as stated, “offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually (do this)” - Job 1:5. Job acted from a fear; feeling rather than a Faith; Spiritual position.

God designed us to use the body, spirit and the mind to Glorify Him not only because it pleases Him but for and in spite of the world’s daily accusations. Jesus showed God and so must the Body of Christ do this even more as this age comes to an end. Now, some religious christians, another oxymoron; think and act with the mind not to offend but rather pander to those who are of the twisted mind, watering down Christ and God just to keep the peace. Jesus stated His purpose for coming was to “fulfill the law” - Matt. 5:7 and “use a sword” - Matt. 10:34. Jesus was offending (not purposefully) those around Him for three years for God’s Righteous cause. He did this by the Anointing and not by feelings. He was proactive and not reactive. There is not a single account of Jesus pacifying the masses so that He could be “a friend” to the world. I read a heading once that stated, “The church’s approach should be one of gentleness”. How can we claim this when Jesus confronted every avenue of disobedience with God’s Truth and judgment? In doing this, we do as Paul states, “making Christ of no effect” - Gal. 5:4. Paul is referring to the law which is a metaphor for “man’s way” which is predominantly in the world today that is constantly promoting equality rather than equity which is based mainly on feelings.

Now the Anointing is not some knighthood as portrayed by the early church or is it administered by men who claim the authority of God. The Anointing can be and is evoked by Anointed men and women which was especially necessary in the Old Testament days, but after Jesus not required; because as stated, "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sent his own Son" - Rm. 8:3. Jesus restored the original relationship of the Garden before sin corrupted it. We see this with Saul who after Anointed became Paul, by the hands of Ananias; a disciple. The implementation of the physical law required a form of segregation for purification requirements but the Blood of Jesus has Spiritually purified all those who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior.  The Anointing is the Spirit of God through Christ (the Word) in action through men and women for Kingdom purposes. But because we operate in a physical sphere, unfortunately, we tend to lead with our feelings of things rather than the Spirit of things. We see with the eye; flesh rather than with the Word; Spirit. The Anointing is used where and when God needs it to be used. It is not only for the Christ follower.  Now, before some of you throw stones at me consider who and what God has done and demonstrated for His Glory and not ours.

As the Body of Christ; we must expect attacks on our body, mind, and spirit. For many of us, this is usually from our secular interactions that we often cannot avoid. We brace ourselves daily for the onslaught and with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; tolerate and console ourselves that it is part and parcel the course of Christianity. We make all efforts to be steadfast in our Faith as Jesus warned us as stated, “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me” - Matt. 5:11. These type of attacks can eventually take their toll on our walk and before you know it, we resort to reacting with our feelings and not our Anointing. We give power to the flesh rather than the Spirit. The Anointing is what Jesus received and John saw after His baptism as stated, “And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him” - Lk. 3:22. This was because Jesus accepted the will of God.

Free will is good but also dangerous, and it is of the mind and not of the spirit and the body benefits or suffers from it. This is the picture of Baptism. When Jesus was guided by God to start His ministry it started with His free will to accept the Baptism of water by the hands of John, even when John did not want to stating, “Suffer it to be so now: to fulfill all Righteousness” - Matt. 3:13-17. He used His mind led by the Spirit to make the decision. To make the Spiritual symbolic gesture of the Passover. Jesus did not do it for Himself but for those who watched; the others who came after, and for us who would need this as a physical statement of our Faith in breaking from the old and walking into the new. Jesus did not need a Passover because He did not have sin in Him. Jesus is the second Adam who also did not start with sin but by free will inherited it and gave it as a legacy to following generations. The first man allowed his feelings to determine his future rather than surrendering to the Spirit. The Tree of good and evil is the Spiritual representation of God’s everlasting past, present, and future embodied in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. It is the Anointing! And is symbiotic with Righteousness, and its manifestation is expressed by the Fruit and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
